Chuwi HiBox-Hero MINI-PC Coming Soon

It seems that Chuwi dived into other market segments for good.  After its first laptop, the Chuwi LapBook some days ago,  now it is time for the Chuwi Hibox-Hero.

As with most of their products, Chuwi decided to go with a dual boot system. A combination of Windows 10 and Android 5.1. Of course, Android Lollipop is considered a bit old now, but that is a compromise since development of the Android X86 project is a bit slow.

Chuwi HiBox-Hero main features

1. Simple and compact design (120mm length/width and 25mm height)
2. Latest Intel X5 Z8350 64-bit quad core CPU, Intel Gen8 HD Graphics
3. 4GB DDR3 RAM and 64GB eMMC Flash
4. Windows 10 + Android 5.1 Dual OS
5. 2.4Ghz/5Ghz dual band Wi-Fi, 1000 Ethernet jack, Bluetooth V4.0
6. Support the 2.4GHz air mouse remote controller
7. Perfect for office work, business meeting and home media box

Real Image of Meizu X: Sports Dual Cameras and Looks Like A Honor 8

Meizu X Image 1 Front and Back View

The Meizu X will be unveiled next week and there is a chance it will be the first Meizu phone to run the new Flyme 6 OS. The unique feature of the phone is its Helio P20 processor but that doesn’t seem to be the only thing going for it, as a leaked image of the phone shows that Meizu has also paid attention to its design.

The image was posted on Weibo today and we are shocked to see that the Meizu X sports dual cameras and a rear positioned fingerprint scanner. Those who can easily spot similarities between phones will be quick to notice that it looks so much like the Honor 8.

Left to me, that’s not a bad thing. Quite a number of manufacturers copy each other’s designs and Huawei isn’t left out.

The Meizu X will launch with Mediatek’s Helio P20 processor clocked at 2.3GHz. It will also feature a Mali-T88o MP2 GPU which offers up to a 20% increase in performance over the Helio P10.

Fact: This is not the first time Meizu will use the ”X” name. Last year, they released a smart bulb called the Meizu X-Light Plus.

HTC Desire 10 pro and Desire 10 evo finally see the light of day

HTC enthusiasts would be happy to hear that the Desire 10 pro and 10 evo have been launched in India.
HTC's latest offerings feature an all-metal unibody that is water, splash, and dust resistant (awesome eh?). The 10 evo itself comes with USB Type-C dual adaptive earphones and HTC BoomSound adaptive audio.
According to the President-South Asia, HTC, Faisal Siddiqui “The Desire 10 pro is inspired by many of the same innovations that have made the flagship HTC 10 so popular making it the most brilliant Desire ever. The HTC 10 evo also showcases the same focus on driving evolution of smartphones especially in terms of audio technology,”

HTC Desire 10 pro has a 5.5-inch Full HD display. It also has a fingerprint scanner at the back that can be used to capture a selfie or start recording a selfie video.
Camera wise, the Desire 10 pro comes with a 20MP rear camera with Electronic Image Stabilization, auto HDR and laser autofocus. The front camera is 13MP, which comes with a new 150-degree wide selfie panorama mode. There’s built-in screen flash as well.

Under the hood is an octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage (expandable up to 2TB via microSD card). It is backed by a 3,000 mAh battery. The smartphone is available in stone black and polar white colour variants.
HTC Desire 10 evo features a 5.5-inch display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone has full metal unibody and comes with an IP57 rating. The HTC 10 evo gets 16MP rear camera with OIS, PDAF and Pro mode. It is powered by a 3,200mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge technology. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box and will be available in gunmetal, and pearl gold colour variants.
So in case you're interested, the HTC does have a lot going for it, so maybe you can get yourself a bit of a thanksgiving present.

The Lenovo A7000 may or may not get the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update officially, but if you look into the unofficial ways, you can even get Pixel experience on your Lenovo A7000 along with Android 7.12 Nougat right this instance.

For the unknown, Google’s Pixel phones come with a few features that are exclusive to the device and are not available for the rest of Android devices including the Android Open source Project using which various AOSP based Android 7.0 ROMs are made of.

However, developer HDHR has just released a custom ROM for Lenovo A7000 that has Google Pixel features like Google Assistant, Pixel launcher, Blue theme and others built-in.

HDHR is calling the ROM Pixel UI and it’s based on AOSP. Alongside Pixel features, Pixel UI ROM also features Gapps built-in so you don’t have to find & flash a compatible Gapps package separately via recovery.

The ROM, however, has certain issues that are yet to be fixed but it’s very much functional and can be used as a daily driver. Below are the known/bugs issues with the ROM (as of Nov 24, 2016).

Sorry Guys, But There's not going to be a Xiaomi Mi Mix Nano

Photo Crd: SlashGear

Chinese Smartphone company Xiaomi released their highly popular and successful Mi Mix just last month and it was perhaps the closest we’ve gotten so far to a near bezel-free smartphone.
It was great, but it had a slight drawback; its size. So naturally when rumours that there was a smaller Mi Mix Nano possibly in the works people got excited.
Unfortunately though, Xiaomi marketing director Zang Zhiyuan took to Weibo to confirm that the Nano does not in fact exist.
The Mi Mix was really popular due to the minimalistic bezel presence. There are still some, especially at the bottom, but the Mi Mix boasted of a 91.3% screen to body ratio that no other smartphone has. It didn’t hurt that it also had high-end hardware, like a Snapdragon 821 processor, 4 or 6 GB of RAM, and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage.
So the major drawback was the screen as it made it really hard to hold due to its size, so a Mi Mix Nano leak was naturally welcomed by many especially as it promised a 5.5-inch screen with almost the exact same specs, though the storage is capped at 64 GB.
But according to Zhiyuan, there is no such product called a Mi Mix Nano. He further clarifies that this leak came from another brand using shady marketing tactics. In other words, it’s most likely a clone that is riding on the Mi Mix popularity and the Xiaomi name to sell their product.
So sorry guys, no Nano Xiaomi Mi Mix exists, but it's possible the company could still go ahead to do it or if you don't mind knock offs or clones, then you might find a smaller Mi Mix in the market, just not from Xiaomi.

Samsung's Comeback Phone Looks good in Leaked Photos

Samsung has been in the doldrums lately but look set to make a stunning comeback. Rumors abound about a new, glossy black Samsung Galaxy S7 coming soon.

The story first appeared in the Korea Herald, who cited unnamed industry sources, and now, newly-released images on Chinese site Weibo seem to confirm that report. The new S7 phone color is expected to be available in December, in time for the winter holiday shopping season.

It is believed that the new color appears to be an attempt to nudge up the company's smartphone sales after the disaster that was the S7 and also Apple's release of the popular glossy Jet Black iPhone 7.

Will a simple change in color repair Samsung's reputation? That's unlikely, but it's better than nothing.

Also there's the problem of smudging which has been a problem with Apple's shiny black phone along with how easy it is to see scratches compared to other colors.

It is believed that the shiny black Samsung will be safe, but it remains to be seen.
