IPad mini-series heading for chopping block?

Apple last updated their iPad Mini series in 2015 and going by all that has happened before, it is expected that the company might release their iPads sometime this year.

The iPad Mini 4, launched almost two years ago, used to be the best in the world of 8-inch tablets and it is believed (hoped) that the next iPad will witness the same overhaul, as was experienced by iPad Mini 4.

Due to circumstances we cannot even begin to fathom, the iPad Mini 5 was conspicuously missing during 2016 September/October event. This has naturally led to speculation that the iPad mini has perhaps be taken to the "big farm over the hill"

According to 9to5Mac, reputed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggested that Apple is working on three iPads this year which will be announced in March 2017 - a 12.9-inch model that will succeed iPad Pro, a 10-inch model that will be the pricier iPad and a 9.7-inch variant as the entry level iPad.

Kuo did leave out talk on any iPad Minis and suggested that iPad Pros will be sold at a higher average selling price, this could mean there's nothing in the iPad mini range anymore.

Apple have made no official announcements about discontinuing the iPad Mini series, so it remains to be seen what happens on that front, but i guess the best thing we can say is that we're crossing our fingers.

Till then.
